Thank you to local volunteers

Lincolnshire Community and Voluntary Service (LCVS) has said a special thank you to its volunteers.

It used Month of the Community to present certificates and personally thank those who help it deliver its vital services.

LCVS runs the Volunteer Centre in Spalding which promotes volunteering opportunities and supports volunteers.

LCVS also supports community development and provide support to charities and not-for-profit organisations including offering free volunteer management workshops to enable it to manage its volunteers effectively.

There are also Funding Ready Workshops to give organisations the knowledge and tools needed to attract funding.

Among the volunteers recognised were Karel Middleton, Jill McGurk and Anna Kolodziejczyk.

Katy Gale, area officer for LCVS is based in Tonic Health, Spalding, said: “There are many great charities and community organisations across South Holland who would not be able to achieve their aims and make such an impact for their beneficiaries without the support of their fantastic volunteers.

“Volunteers’ Week and the Month of Community gives these organisations the opportunity to celebrate volunteer involvement and say thank you.”
