Teen taken to hospital after stabbing at skate park

An 18-year-old was taken to hospital after being stabbed following an assault at Spalding Skate Park yesterday (Tuesday) evening.

The incident happened shortly after 5pm at the open space just off Holbeach Road.

A spokesman for Lincolnshire Police, said: “At 1708hrs on 23 April 2019, our officers were called to the skate park on Holbeach Road, Spalding to a report of an assault. An 18yr old man was taken to Pilgrim Hospital by a friend and has since been released from hospital.

“We are continuing to follow a number of lines of enquiry but ask that any witnesses to the incident contact us on 101, quoting Inc 355 23/04/2019.”

UPDATE – Lincolnshire Police have now tweeted that the incident was a stabbing. At 5.08pm on 23/04, officers were called to the skate park, Holbeach Road, Spalding. An 18-year-old man was taken to Pilgrim Hospital by a friend after he received a stab wound. The man has been released from hospital. Inc 355 23/04
