The Spalding Gentlemen’s Society is again inviting the public to have a look around its impressive Broad Street based collection as it opens its door to the public for one afternoon.
The 1710 founded society is having an Open Day this Sunday, June 17 between 2pm and 4.30pm.
The group’s Heather Violett said: “Why not bring the family for a walk through 300-plus years of local, national and international history and artefacts.
“We can offer everything from mammoth’s teeth and a tusk to stunning porcelain and glassware; the Fosdyke tidal clock; a sedan chair, wartime memorabilia and medals and an historic library, to name but a few.
“Our friendly guides will be on hand again to welcome you and answer your questions.”
The Spalding Gentleman’s Society is located in Broad Street almost opposite the Methodist Church with parking off
Herring Lane and Westlode Street.
