With a full list of fixtures scheduled in the Spalding and District League (sponsored by Vital Recruitment) a bigger turnout might have been expected – but postponements continued.
That total has risen to eight, with another seven matches to be completed.
Of the games played, Division One leaders South Holland completed their earlier match with Defenders (5-0) to stretch their lead at the top before playing the second of the trio of meetings this season.
Defenders took the lead twice before John Gilbert and Richard Hammond took two the final two games for the win, 3-2 this time.
Second-placed Nets and Edges needed their strongest pairing to see off a resolute Jokers, who are third, by the same score. Reece Kerry and James Gibson were pushed to five ends to take the first two games but Phil Coote and Guntars Briedes took the doubles.
Coote added another before Gibson won the last in four.
JDM registered the same score in their match with Outsiders.
Outsiders took an early lead through Dave Coley, while John Chesworth levelled the scores.
Chesworth and Christian Green then went ahead with the doubles, before Keith Davey brought Outsiders level again, only for Chesworth to complete a double and take the match.
Elsewhere, Skidlids moved further ahead in Division Two with a 4-1 win over Casey’s Pingers.
Richard Matthews scored a double though he needed five ends to defeat Mick Nurse, who took Pingers point with a five-end win in his other game. They now sit seven clear, though MatDuf – who drop to fourth having postponed – have matches to finish.
Can’t Move Won’t Move have moved themselves into third spot thanks to a 3-2 win over Bourne Nightmayors. Garry Wilkinson took two and helped secure the doubles but Phil Knowles and Dylan
Taylor each took a point to keep the score close.
Castle Sports share the same points score as the Movers but are ahead thanks to their win against them earlier in the season.
Colin Vertigan took two in regulation while Rod Bain added one and helped take the doubles.
Cameron Duncan-Johal scored for Team Equinox, his fifth win.
