A Sutton Bridge woman who collided with a parked car was found to be almost three times over the legal alcohol level, a court has heard.
Kelly Gregory, 42, of Allenby’s Chase, admitted driving with excess alcohol when she appeared before
magistrates in Boston.
Prosecuting, Marie Stace said that Mrs Gregory collided with a parked car in Bridge Road at 11.40pm on
November 18 and was arrested after providing a positive breath test.
She said she was initially taken to hospital but after her discharge she gave an evidential sample three
hours later of 104 micrograms of alcohol in her breath, the legal limit being 35.
Ms Stace said Mrs Gregory was unable to remember anything about what had happened.
Mitigating, Roger Lowther said she worked part time at a pub and would normally walk home but her car had been there from the previous night and she decided to drive, but couldn’t explain why.
After hearing from the Probation Service, the magistrates banned her from driving for 23 months but
offered her the drink drivers’ rehabilitation course which will reduce the period of the ban by 23 weeks.
She was also ordered to carry out 10 rehabilitation days and to undergo 120 days of electronically
monitored alcohol abstinence and was ordered to pay a total of £119 in court costs and charges.
