Sutton Bridge hit ten goals to go level at top of Spalding and District Sunday League

Three players hit doubles to fire Sutton Bridge to a huge 10-2 victory over Spalding Wanderers in Spalding and District Sunday League over the weekend.

Liam Burton, Jake Lally and Jack Murley all notched braces, with Bradley Fox, Robert Hook and Joe Sutton also netting as Bridge moved level on points with leaders Holbeach United Sunday.

Jordan Clow – who also put through his own net – grabbed a double of his own for beaten Wanderers, with Ruslan Ducalski the scorer of the other consolation.

The other game played on Sunday was a real cracker, with Punchbowl Tigers edging out hosts Swineshead Institute 5-4.

Martin Sandall helped himself to a hat-trick for the Tigers, with Marcus Parry (2) getting the other goals to send their side fourth in the table.
