A Spalding surgery has been hit by a break in.
Beechfield Medical Centre was targeted overnight with police called at 4.15am.
The Beechfield Gardens surgery was closed this morning (Wednesday, October 12) but has since reopened to those who have appointments.
The surgery posted on Facebook: “We currently have no access to the main entrance, downstairs waiting room or dispensary, however we are open for online and telephone triage. Please telephone Reception if you need an urgent appointment today.
“If you have a booked appointment today, please attend as normal and you will be directed to the appropriate entrance. If you need to collect anything from Reception, please leave this until later in the day when we hope to be able to facilitate collections.
“If you are a dispensing patient and need to collect medication, please only attend if you need this medication today. We may have to ask you to take a prescription to a local pharmacy if you require your medication urgently, as we have no access to our dispensary at present.
“If you do not need your medication today, please do not attempt to collect it today.
“We understand this may be frustrating for some of you however these circumstances are out of our control.
“Please do not shout at or be rude to our staff if you are asked to call back or return at another time.
“We apologise for any inconvenience this morning, but during the night the practice was broken in to.
“We are working with local police and will update you as soon as we are open for normal business.”
A spokesman for Lincolnshire Police said: “We were called to reports of a break-in at a surgery at Beechfield Gardens in Spalding at around 4.15am. We are currently investigating.”
