Superstar sisters win awards

Two sisters from Spalding have won the Great Daffodil Award from Marie Curie charity.

Elizabeth and Victoria Hammond have been awarded Mini Superstar Collectors 2019 for the Lincolnshire Region awards for their tireless fundraising.

Elizabeth and Victoria Hammond collect their fundraising awards.

Lauren Alexander, Community Fundraiser for Lincolnshire, said: “These young ladies are by far the cutest collectors we have supporting our Great Daffodil Appeal.

“Their endless array of fancy dress costume changes, collection snacks and picnic chairs has enabled them to have collected hundreds of pounds for the appeal.

“These two are a true example of budding volunteers for the future. Having both starting when they were just babies, they now always opt to help collect if asked.

“They like chatting to everyone who walks past, handing out daffodils as they know they are doing something to help sick people within Lincolnshire.

“You should be extremely proud. Thank you and congratulations, Elizabeth and Victoria!”
