Hayden Bingham and Hannah Willis both enjoyed wins as Spalding Tennis Club held their singles championship last weekend.
Some 22 members enjoyed a fun and competitive afternoon of tennis, with 14 taking part in the men’s singles and eight battling for the ladies’ title.
After a group stage and keenly-contested quarter-finals, the men’s semis saw Adam Freeman beat Martin Perkins and Bingham defeat Carl Newell to set up a final.
That was won by Bingham, who managed a 4-1 success to clinch the crown.
In the last four of the ladies’ competition, Millie Brittain beat Lillian Simpson and Hannah Willis saw off Sarah McCormack.
The final was the pick of the ladies matches on the afternoon, with lots of long baseline rallies as Willis eventually triumphed 4-2.
