An amazing three hat-tricks were scored in the same game as Kirton Town crushed Mulberry 11-5 in a goal-crazy Spalding and District Sunday League clash at the weekend.
Third-placed Kirton moved to within a point of the leaders with the huge win, as Ashley Davis (3), Sam Reed (3), Josh Dunworth (2), Matt Tyrrell (2) and Ashley English all found the net.
Ryan Mills returned fire with a treble and Tyler Wright grabbed two for Mulberry, who scored five times away from home but had nothing to show for it.
Leaders Sutton St James remain unbeaten in the league after easing past Long Sutton Sunday 8-0 at Memorial Park.
Their goals came from Jake Lally (2), Sam Cooper, Matt Easton, Jack Murley, Ben Partridge and Joseph Sutton.
Meanwhile, there was a rare stalemate as Fosdyke Sunday and Pinchbeck United Sunday drew 0-0 in the first leg of the Mont Pell Trophy semi-final.
The pair will meet again in the second leg on March 31.
