PDFL round-up: Rivals Tydd and Long Sutton battle out an exciting derby draw

The spoils were shared in Saturday’s ChromaSport PDFL Premier Division derby between rivals Tydd and Long Sutton Athletic at the Fenland Stadium.

The free-scoring Jake Clitheroe bagged a double for Tydd, but his heroics were cancelled out by strikes from Connor Bell and Brandon England for the Magpies. The draw keeps Sutton 14th, while Tydd are eighth.

In Division One, Crowland Town picked up a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Uppingham Town at Snowden Field.

Corban Oldham grabbed the only goal in that clash.

In the same division, a double from Alex Lyon and strikes from Ricky Dickinson and Thomas Coote fired Spalding Town to a 4-1 success over FC Peterborough.

It was a grim day for the South Holland sides in Division One, with Whaplode Drove thrashed 16-1 at Stilton United and Spalding Athletic humbled 6-1 at Warboys Town.

In Division Three Long Sutton Reserves drew 2-2 at Uppingham Reserves.

But there were defeats for Holbeach Sports and Tydd Reserves in Division Four, against Wittering Reserves (2-1) and Glinton (3-0) respectively.
