Sunday football round-up: Flying Fish are the new league leaders after Mulberry victory

There are new leaders in the Spalding and District Sunday League after the weekend fixtures.

Up The Fish FC Reds are the latest table-toppers after they handed Mulberry a 4-2 beating in a stormy clash at Monkshouse Lane Playing Field.

Goals from Jordan Clow, Reece Precious, Rowan Woodward and Gilson Lavis sealed the success for the South Holland side.

Defeated Mulberry, who scored through Jamie Mills and Sean Jeynes, finished with nine men after subs Jack Baker and Ryan Mills were both sent off.

Fish are one point clear at the top, but have played three games more than second-placed CSKA Emneth – who saw their fixture against South Holland United postponed.

In the League KO Cup, Fosdyke Sunday romped to an impressive 5-1 victory over Pinchbeck United Sports.

Doubles from Callum Pugh and Charlie Pugh, plus a Liam Barnett strike, settled the contest in Fosdyke’s favour.

Josh Walker replied for Sports, who also sit bottom of the league table.
Kirton Town Sunday have also progressed in the KO Cup after a stellar 6-3 success over Nations United.

Both Scott Dixon and Callum Willey netted two goals apiece for Kirton, while Kyle Tate also go in on the act.

Rodica Radu netted twice for Nations, but they were soundly beaten on the day.

Fixtures (Sun, 10.30am): CSKA Emneth Reserves v Nations United; Fosdyke Sunday v South Holland United; Jubilee v Pinchbeck United Sports; Kirton Town Sunday v Mulberry; Up The Fish FC Reds v CSKA Emneth.
