Students from University Academy Holbeach enjoyed a three day sample of life in a hospital recently.
The BTEC level three health and social care were invited as part of Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King’s Lynn’s Insight Week.
The event was hosted by the hospital trust’s Youth Council, members of whom accompanied the students.

Carrieanne Davies, Learning and Development Facilitator, said: “We’ve had such a lovely few days.
“The project began from some amazing ideas by our Youth Council about how we could do work experience a bit differently.
“It’s been great to see it come together, with our amazing colleagues in the Education Faculty, designing a fantastic programme.
“Over the three days, students got involved in clinical skills, observations, hand hygiene and infection control with the lightbox, feeding, an escape room, running their own ward, time in the simulation ward, finished with a session of employability and careers support, including some mock interviews delivered by our team.
“What stood out most over the week was how lovely, engaged, intuitive and passionate the students were. They really got stuck in, asked questions, and gave everything a go.
“A big, huge, massive thank you goes to everyone who helped make it possible, including Sasha Courtney-Jenner, from UAH, and to Libby Furnell, one of our Youth Council members and a former UAH student, who was brilliant in encouraging the group and presented so well about getting involved with the Youth Council.”
