Spalding Water Polo stay top of league table despite a mixed run of results

Spalding Water polo have had mixed fortunes in their latest Herts League matches – winning two and losing two – but still maintain their position at the top of the league.

They beat Dunstable 9-7 in a tense home match, with goals from Gareth Lord (3), Harry Bumfrey (2), Nathan Henry (2) and one each from Ben Marsters and Tom Marsters.

The journey to Cambridge was worthwhile, winning 8-4 thanks to goals from Ed Martin (4), Lord (2) and one apiece for Ben Marsters and Tom Norfolk.

Next up was Northampton but unfortunately Spalding lost 6-12.

The goals in that one came from Norfolk (4) and Tom Marsters (2).

Spalding then lost 12-5 to an improved Cambridge side in the return fixture at Spalding pool.

The goals came from Phil James (2), Norfolk (2) and Ben Marsters
