Fans of Spalding United and Holbeach United will welcome news that the sides will meet in a pre-season fixture.
Rivalries will be rekindled at the Sir Halley Stewart Playing Field on Saturday, July 25 (3pm).
The sides last played each other in the 2013/14 season when the Tulips won the United Counties League Premier Division title. Pat Rayment’s side won 5-0 and 2-0 in the league fixtures, and also ended the Tigers’ two-year tenure on the Lincolnshire FA Senior Trophy with a 2-1 win at Carter’s Park.
The Tulips begin their build-up to the Evo-Stik Northern League Division One South season with a trip to Oakham United, who were promoted to the UCL Division One after winning the Peterborough League Premier Division last season.
Rayment’s squad final warm-up is an attractive home fixture against Evo-Stik Premier Division side King’s Lynn Town.
