Former Spalding Town Cricket Club stalwart Jimmy Clarke has won the coveted Middlesex Coach of the year award for 2017.
Clarke left Spalding behind last year to move to London and take up a role with Winchmore Hill CC.
Having also won East Midlands coach of the year in 2014, the ex-Town ace is aiming to take his new team forward next year.
Clarke said: “This is a great honour for me. At Winchmore Hill we have built up the biggest amateur sports club schools partnership in the country. We now go into 45 schools for 2018.
“I was very lucky that, when I left Spalding, I found a wonderful club to continue my cricket journey.”
The Middlesex Coaches Association added: “Over the past two years, Jim has built a strong rapport with the schools and children of Enfield, delivering cricket in 30 schools and coaching over 2,500 youngsters.
“As a result, Winchmore Hill’s junior section has grown by nearly 100 members.
“Jim has also been a driving force in encouraging adults to play in the club’s lower teams on a Saturday – a true role model for coaches, young and old.”
Clarke was given his award by former England bowler and current Middlesex CCC managing director of cricket Angus Fraser.
