Another rain-hit weekend of cricket saw just one South Holland side play across the divisions.
In the South Lincs and Border League it was a total washout for Spalding Town, Long Sutton, Moulton Harrox and Pinchbeck as none of their respective teams completed a match.
The biggest losers in that scenario were Spalding 1st, who saw Premier Division title rivals Market Deeping 2nd leap ahead of them after they managed a whirlwind victory over Bourne 2nd.
Deeping are now one point ahead of Spalding, with the pair meeting at Outgang Road this weekend.
Spalding’s Sunday side did manage a victory in Rutland League Division Six, with Hafiz Majeed inspiring them to glory against Ufford Park 2nd at the Memorial Field.
He hit 75 in Town’s 179 in 42.2 overs, before Jon Manton bagged 5-38 to dismiss the visitors for 153 in reply.
More cricket in Thursday’s edition of The Spalding and South Holland Voice.
