Spalding RFC suffer 20th successive defeat in demolition derby

Spalding RFC reached another unwanted landmark on Saturday as they were handed a 45-7 derby defeat by Market Rasen and Louth.

The crushing Memorial Field loss means that Town have now lost all 20 of their Midlands One East matches and remain 15 points adrift at the foot with six games to play.

It seems that only a minor miracle can help Spalding avoid the drop, with a win next time out at 12th-placed Newark now a must.

See www.spaldingvoice.co.uk on Monday for a full report from the match.
