Spalding Motorbike Show is ready for the go

It’s once again time to get revved up for the Springfields Motorbike Show.

It returns this weekend (January 18/19) for the 34th year with a host of attractions.

Fresh from a successful British Superbikes season, Kawasaki rider Danny Buchan will be in attendance.

He’s be joined on the Sunday by TT legend Steve Plater.

Steve is a former British Champion, Isle of Man TT winner, World Endurance winner, multiple North West 200 and Macau Grand Prix winner.

Now retired from racing he’s still actively involved including commentating and coaching.

A spokesman for the event said: “As always the show is a great mix of new and classic bikes and features displays from many clubs including Triumph, BSA, Moto Guzzi and many more.

“One of the halls is dedicated to classic bikes with a large display of local bikes, the area being known for many quality bikes in private collections.

“Ex-race bikes always feature prominently at the show and you can be sure to see some historic bikes at the event.

“The event also has local Speedway Premier league team Peterborough Panthers at the show.

“In additional there will be new and used bikes for sale at the show from various dealers including ‘Wheels Motorcycles’ from Peterborough who will be hosting Danny Buchan and Steve Plater on their stand with live interviews and autograph signing sessions.

“Also at the show will be specialist parts and accessories from various exhibitors on display.”

Admission is £7 for adults, £3 for children (5-15), with free entry for under 5s.

Gates open 10am.

Parking is free. No dogs (except guide dogs) are permitted inside the exhibition centre.
