Spalding man Tony has Doodles of inspiration

A Spalding man has launched his own brand, the characters of which are largely based on local people.

Tony Lee of Daniels Gate has created the Doodles range which he says has really taken off since its recent launch.

The 53-year-old, whose day job is at Bakkavor, says he’s sold hundreds of t-shirts, mugs and phone cases with his designs on.

They include likenesses of Tony, his fianceé Cheryl Green and Tony’s daughter Alex Cooper-Lee.
In total there’s 20 characters featured on the current collection.

Tony said: “I’ve been doing doodling all my life.

“I used my doodle of myself on my email signature and had loads of great feedback from it.

“When I was made redundant I thought I’d make a few bits to sell and people wanted to buy them. The feedback’s been excellent.

“We started off with doing t-shirts but I believe these designs could go anywhere.”

Among the places you can purchase the Doodles brand are Silverwood Garden Centre in Long Sutton and Store 21 and online at www.doodlestshirts.com

There is also a Facebook page called “Doodles T Shirts”.
