Spalding man in court accused of defrauding headstone customers

A Spalding man accused of defrauding customers by failing to supply orders of memorial headstones is to face trial next year.
 
Julian Karl Gaunt, who is accused of defrauding nine customers of JG Select Memorials Ltd, made a brief appearance today (Wednesday, July 4) before Lincoln Crown Court.
 
Gaunt (49) of Queens Road, spoke only to confirm his name, date of birth and nationality.
 
No charges were put to him at today’s hearing.
 
Gaunt was granted unconditional bail to appear back before the Crown Court for trial in April 2019.
