Spalding duo impress with perfect records

Spalding Hockey Club hosted the next round of the South Lincs League matches – with five home teams involved across the two age groups.

The teams were ably supported by a bank of young Lincolnshire umpires, including three from Spalding who officiated well throughout the day.

Spalding Lions (under-13s) and Jaguars (under-11s) both finished the day with 100 per cent win records which were the pick of the home results on the day.

Also competing in the under-11 competition were Long Sutton A (one draw and two defeats) in League One and Long Sutton B (one win and two defeats) in League Two.

In the under-13 League One, Long Sutton picked up one win but also suffered two defeats.

Spalding had two teams in League Two, with the Pumas grabbing a draw and slipping two a pair of defeats, while the Tigers won once and drew twice.
