Spalding darts finals night sees some shock winners

Monday night saw the Spalding and District Darts finals night held at Tigers Social Club in Holbeach.

The first game of the evening was the Kelly Foster Cup between Division One’s Green Dragon and Division Two’s Tigers B.
Green Dragon won 5-2 with wins from Scott Wiliams, Duggie Mcinerney and Simon Horton in the singles, edging the win.
Then was the Dick Morgan Memorial Cup for Division Two teams.
Rose and Crown finished runners up in the season but lost to Consti B 5-1 in the cup.
Consti won all three pairs and Conor Hughes and Carl Pogson won the games.
Rose and Crown’s Ian Lawson has a 156 check-out and a 15-dart-leg in his game.
The final team game of the night was the Supreme Cup between Division One winners Consti A and Division One runners up Tigers C.
Tigers C won 5-3. Mark Horspool beat Sam Roberts with two 15-dart-legs and Ant Richardson beat Nick Moyses with two 16-dart-legs.
Draymans Arms caused an upset in the triples beating Division One’s Green Dragon.
Mixed Pairs winners were Dan and Tina Gent, while Lindsey Wingell won the Ladies’ Singles 2-0.
Kev Newton held his nerve to win the Captain’s Cup against Ady Smith.
Draymans added to their haul with Phil Newton and Richard Cooper taking the Division Two Pairs title.
There was an upset in Division One Pairs with Duncan Hunt and Ant Richardson winning against a Green Dragon pair.
Division Two singles was won by John Charlton.
The grand finale was Division One singles which PDC player Scott Williams beat Jack Chilvers 3-1.
