Heavy home defeat against Southwell keeps Spalding RFC rock bottom of standings

Spalding RFC were handed a 31-7 home reverse by high-flying Southwell on Saturday to stay rooted to the bottom of the Midlands Two East (N) table.

Town remain six points adrift at the foot – and have now played a game more than nearest relegation rivals Nottingham Casuals.
