Cricket fans in South Holland are being urged to show their support as Market Deeping Cricket Club plays host to the latest round in a prestigious nationwide ECB competition.
The area finals of the NatWest Club T20 will be held at the Outgang Road ground on Sunday (August 7) when four teams will compete for a place in the regional finals later in the month.
Representing Lincolnshire are Winkworth Cup holders Sleaford CC, who will feature in the first semi-final at around 10am when they take on Sheffield Collegiate, winners of the Yorkshire South Premier League Cup.
Following this, Derbyshire Cup champions Sandiacre will play Bradford League cup holders Pudsey Congs, with the final taking place around 4pm.
The successful team will then meet the North Eastern area winners on August 21, and the national final takes place in early September at a first class ground.
There is plenty of parking on-site and Market Deeping are gearing up to welcome a good number of supporters from all four clubs. Food and hot drinks will be on sale for all visitors, while the bar – featuring at least two real ales – will be open throughout the event.
A PA system will keep spectators informed throughout the day – and look out for the man of the match competition.
Everyone is welcome (postcode PE6 8LQ).
