Solid showings from G&S Racing duo Boerboom and Fuller at Oulton Park

Both G&S Racing riders had two races on their return to Oulton Park for round nine of the Pirelli National and Junior Superstock championships over the weekend.

There was a brace of 29th places for Superstock rider Jorel Boerboom and an 11th and 13th for Zak Fuller in the Junior class.

Dutch rider Boerboom encountered a technical problem with the big Kawasaki during qualifying and only got out on track for two laps, so was placed at the back of the grid for the first race on Saturday.

Starting from 37th was always going to be a tremendous task to get anywhere near a points finish but he gave it his best shot and made remarkable progress through the back markers moving through to 29th place on the final lap.

Moving up the grid to the middle of row ten for the start of race two, his but developed an issue which hindered his progress and he completed the ten-lapper in 29th place once again.

New Zealand rookie Fuller was hindered by the aftermath of the crash he suffered at Snetterton.

But he worked through the problems and started the first race from the fifth row. He made up places throughout the 11 laps to tenth, but was overhauled on the final lap and finished in 11th.

Starting the second race from the middle of the sixth row he got a bad start and was swallowed up in the pack, falling to 21st place.

But he got his head down and made progress through to complete the 11 lap affair in 13th position, picking up another three points to make it 57 for the season.

As a result, Fuller retains his tenth place in the rider standings with just two rounds remaining.

The next round is at Donington Park this coming weekend.
