Simon Slinger clinched a final-frame win to help Gosberton B get their Spalding and District Snooker League campaign up and running.
His side had had a delayed start to the Division Three season and ended up playing on consecutive nights last week.
It had been a fruitless trip to Boundary B on Wednesday, with Warren Driver (r21) the only winner for the visitors.
However, 24 hours later on their home baize against Consti J, Slinger (r7) beat Stew Davies (o14) 64-19 to back up victories for Driver again and Mark Howlett (o7). Les Andrew (r7) and Nev Vickers (r14) grabbed two points for the Spalding side.
Meanwhile, Gosberton C returned from Consti I with all six points.
Malcolm Holmes (r7) had a black ball win in the opening frame against Jonathan Smith (r7). Then James Elliott (o14), Stuart Tamplin (r7), Mark Payne (o14) and Stuart Henderson (scr) had good nights as well to complete the whitewash.
There was another 6-0 at Consti too – the A side comprehensively seeing off the B team. Highlight of the match was the tight encounter between Consti B’s Mick Johnson (o14) and Bill Prosser (o7). It was only settled when Prosser sunk the final colour.
Wayne Wilding (o14) had sent Consti A on their way by overturning a 21-point handicap to comfortably beat John Christian.
Steve Hall (scr), Mark Craig (r14) and Martyn Johnson (r21) were the other winners.
Holbeach G’s Ben Harding (o42) enjoyed a 30 break and 25 clearance en route to thrashing Donington D’s Kevin Goodenough (o21) 91-33.
Two games went to the black ball – both going in favour of Donington D, Paul Whyte (r7) and Alan Stanley (r7) grabbing their side’s only points.
Dave Willy (o7) remained unbeaten after two weeks, comfortably seeing off Dan Sawdy (scr) by 72-31.
Up in Division One, Services D wasted no time recovering from their heavy defeat in week one.
It might have felt another long night was ahead when Consti E’s James Kingston (o35) edged out Joely Shears (r14) in the opening game, and then Shane Cummins (o21) fell to Jack Chilvers (o28) as Consti E opened up a 2-0 lead.
But it was one-way traffic from thereon in. Martin Ulyatt (o21) had to play twice for Consti E, losing to Alan Day (r21) and Russ Morse (o14). And Kevin Robbs (r14) beat Gav Halgarth (o21) 84-25 as Services D won 4-2.
The match between Consti H and Consti G was finely balanced at 2-2 going into the last game between the H team’s Adam Mayman (o28) and Mark Wilkinson (o14). And it was tight finish to that one too, Wilkinson winning 53-44 as the G team took the lion’s share of the match points.
In Division Two, the match result was safe after the first three games between Holbeach A and Consti F. Stuart Atkin (o42) made sure of that with a 27 clearance to edge past Martyn Stanley (r14).
