Sutton took all 20 points from the away fixture, having bowled their hosts out for just 61.

Skipper Phil Barnes won the toss and elected to field, which proved to be a wise decision by the seaside.

Only opener Jason Elsom (33) made any kind of score for Skegness, with Barry Stanway (4-18) once again in fine form with the ball.

Wickets also went to Aaron John (3-2), Rob Simpson (2-11) and Raj Sangha (1-25) as the home side were all out in 30.1 overs.

Sutton’s reply lasted just 10.5 overs, as they made light work of their target.

Chris Booth (4) was out early on, but Adam Wright (32 not out) and John (17 not out) eased them to 62-1.

The victory earned Sutton 20 points and moves them 21 points clear at the summit.

Heckington made 64-5 in reply, with wickets from James Baker (3-15), Andy Shaw (1-19) and Alex Canham (1-1) in vain.

Spalding Town 2nd slipped to a 34-run defeat against Market Deeping 2nd at Outgang road in the Premier Division.

Brandon Andrews (3-17), Matt Sharpe (2-55), Eddie Seymour (2-20) and Amelia Gardner (1-27) all took wickets to limit Deeping to 153-8, despite a 50 from Jack Webster.

Seymour (19), Andrews (20) and Sharpe (26 not out) scored well in Town’s reply, but they were bowled out for 119 in 27 overs.

In Division One, Joe Broomfield’s 92 inspired Moulton Harrox to a 113-run victory over Timberlands.

The skipper fell eight runs shy of his ton in Harrox’s 165-8, before they bowled their hosts out for 52.
