SKATE-JAM event will put smiles back on the faces in St Paul’s

Tulip Talk, with Jan Whitbourn

It has not been the best year for the St Paul’s area, having been in the national press for all the wrong reasons. It has its taken its toll on this area.

We need to help put enthusiasm back into this community who have suffered and look to a brighter future. It would be great to have as many people come along and be part of this event. We all need to show we are here to help them and we want to put something back into their community.

2017 SKATE-JAM at Low Fulney Skate Park on  Thursday, August 24, is a community event free to everyone from South Holland. Last year more than 60 young people attended the event from all ages and parents came to support, enjoying the event and some very talented skaters who showed us what we could do on the skate park.

Any young people under the age of 16 will need their parents to attend to sign a disclaimer form.
Several SHDC councillors have committed to sponsor this event, why not come and be a spectator and show unity with St Paul’s? It
promises to be a great day.

Gibbons Cycles have come on board once again to help by donating prizes. We hope it will be an even bigger success than last year, please come and give your support.

TEAM EXTREME will be putting on free displays and free coaching with British and World Champions in BMX, skateboarding and scooters.
Springfields will be helping us again this year by laying out the barriers to keep spectators safe.

Last year was certainly a day to remember let’s all step it up a gear and make SKATE-JAM 2017 even better. Come and
join us, 11am-5pm.
