School to ‘partly close’ due to staffing issues

The Garth School in Spalding is to ‘partly close’ from tomorrow (Wednesday) for the rest of the week due to staffing issues as a result of the Covid-19 outbreak.

A statement on the Spalding Special Schools Federation’s Facebook page, states: “The Garth School is partly closed from the 18 to 20 March inclusive.

“Due to the COVID19 outbreak, staffing levels are now at a level where it is now impossible to guarantee the safety of pupils should we open fully.

“A letter will be sent home with all pupils who are in school school today and the letter has also been emailed to all parents for whom we have an email address.”
