Louis Steadman helped himself to a treble as Holbeach United Reserves roared to a 4-1 ChromaSport PDFL Premier Division victory at Langtoft United on Saturday.
That treble, along with a Fenn Storey effort, made it three wins on the bounce for the Tigers – who climbed up to fourth in the table as a result.
Tydd were also on winning form in the top flight – and they had a hat-trick to thank for their points, too.
It was Chris Ward who netted all three goals in a 3-2 victory over ICA Sports at the Fenland Stadium, clinching a third win of the campaign for the league newboys.
Meanwhile, Long Sutton Athletic finally picked up their first point of the season at the seventh time of asking. Connor Bell got Sutton’s goal in a 1-1 draw against Whittlesey Athletic, a result that moved them off the foot of the table.
The other top flight game involving a South Holland side on Saturday was abandoned.
Sutton Bridge United were trailling 7-0 at champions Netherton United, but the referee called a halt to proceedings following an altercation with Netherton boss Jon Harrison.
The clash at the Grange was halted after 86 minutes by referee Michael Dunkley and the league are now waiting until reports have been received from both clubs and the referee before deciding what happens next.
In Division One, Declan Earth netted a treble to inspire Moulton Harrox Reserves to a 4-2 victory at Eye United.
James Trevor also put through his own net in that one, as Harrox bounced back from their loss to FC Parson Drove in style.
Fellow Division One side Crowland Town were held to a thrilling 3-3 draw at home to Kings Cliffe, while Spalding Town slipped to a 2-1 home loss against Bretton North End.
It was a day to forget for the South Holland sides in Division Two, with both beaten heavily.
Whaplode Drove were walloped 7-0 at home by Netherton Reserves, while Spalding Athletic went down 11-1 at Stilton United.
Down in Division Three, goals from Mark Garner (2) and Marcus Gilbertson helped Long Sutton Reserves win 4-1 at Stamford Lions A.
In Division Four, Holbeach Sports drew 2-2 at Hampton and Tydd Reserves were held 1-1 at home by Wittering Reserves.
