Friday night’s alright (for Elton)

One of the best Elton John tribute bands around is rocketing into Spalding on Friday, October 28 to raise money for a local charity.

Elton and the Rocket Band get the legendary singer-songwriter’s approval having even performed at his mum’s 80th birthday.

The visit to the South Holland Centre is a fundraiser for the Tulip Suite Hospice that provides end of life care at the Johnson Hospital.

Emma Peake has put on several fundraisers in memory of her mum Kate who was treated there before her death in 2018.

The gig with Elton and the Rocket Band has previously been delayed by COVID-19.

Emma said: “It will be a fantastic night in aid of a great service that’s wonderful to have in our town.”

A spokesman for the South Holland Centre said: “No one comes close to our Elton, and you won’t believe your eyes – or ears when you see him live on stage! Elton and The Rocket Band will blow you away as they take you on a musical journey through Elton’s life so far.

“All the classic hits will get you up on your feet and leave you wanting more!

“You simply won’t find a closer tribute to Sir Elton John.”

Tickets are £28 and available from www.southhollandcentre.co.uk/whats-on/view/no-1-elton-and-the-rocket-band
