Saturday football: Five-star Pinchbeck United showing, Spalding and Holbeach United both held to draws

Pinchbeck United romped to their biggest win of the season as they battered Selston 5-0 on Saturday, while Spalding United drew 1-1 at Hinckley and Holbeach United were held to a 0-0 home draw by Swaffham Town.

Starting with the Knights, goals from Spencer Weir-Daley, Andre Williams, Elliot Foster (pen), Avi Vieira and Harry Peasgood gave the Knights a major Ulsport UCL Premier Division North victory at the Sir Halley Stewart Playing Field.

Spalding had to come from behind to get their point in the Pitching In NPL Midlands Division, with Domonic Brennan (4) giving hosts Hinckley LRFC the lead.

Sam Cartwright (28) levelled things up for the Tulips, who also saw Jordan O’Brien miss a penalty.

Still, Brett Whaley’s side remain third and stay unbeaten in the league.

Holbeach, meanwhile, played out a goalless home draw with Swaffham in the Thurlow Nunn League Division One North.

Luke Fox was sent off for the visitors, but the Tigers couldn’t capitalise.
