Rural parenting drop-in

A new, free parenting drop-in takes place on Thursday, January 30, at Holbeach St Marks Village Hall.

Organised by Better Births Lincolnshire, the drop-in runs from 10.30am-12.30pm and will offer all sorts of advice and social opportunities.

Sarah-Jane Richens, Perinatal Peer Support Project Manager – Lincolnshire, said: “We know that new mums can sometimes feel isolated and lonely after having a baby.

“The Birth and Beyond Supporters Project aims to help tackle these feelings by providing a listening ear and helping mums access local services.

“We work closely with other agencies and partners in the local community and our free Rural Hub Drop-In session at Holbeach St Marks is a way for local mums and mums-to-be to find out what services are available in their area.

“Our volunteers will be joined by Better Births Lincolnshire, the local Children’s Centre, Job Centre Plus and the NHS Community Midwives.

“We hope as many parents as possible from Holbeach St Marks and the surrounding villages will come along and find out about the services and support on offer in the area.”
