Vandalised signs alerting motorists to a sharp bend in Gedney Hill will not be replaced despite safety concerns.
The bend on Hillside, which is also on the junction with North Road, used to be marked by warning signs but no longer is.
Villager Terry Seale says that despite a lower speed limit on the road, vehicles still take the corner too quickly, leading to accidents.
He sent a picture of a hay bale that had rolled off a lorry going around the bend earlier this month to Lincolnshire County Council as an example.
However, his appeal for the signs to be returned has been turned down by the authority.
Terry said: “Every year we’ve been here there’s been an event.
“The giant hay bale falling off could have killed someone.
“I am sick of the laid-back attitude towards the safety of others.”
A spokesman for Lincolnshire County Council said: “The chevron sign has been repeatedly vandalised over the years and replaced multiple times.
“Since the speed limit was lowered to 30mph a few years ago, the chevrons are no longer deemed a necessity when driving in accordance with the road conditions.
“However, we will continue to monitor the situation.
“We have also reviewed the condition of the road markings.
“They will be refreshed as part of our routine maintenance programme and do not require urgent attention.”
