River Welland views inspire art competition

A display of the entrants of Spalding Arts and Crafts Society’s latest competition is currently taking place at Spalding Library.

Members were asked to paint a scene of the River Welland between Crowland and Fosdyke.

A spokesman for the group said: “We had 13 excellent entries showing the range of scenery the Welland has to offer.”

You can vote for your favourite at the library with the winner due to be announced at the group’s meeting on October 2.

The exhibition and voting is open until September 28.
