Reprieve for Pinchbeck

Pinchbeck United are celebrating, despite their United Counties League season having finished with them in a relegation position.

However, the team currently based in Sleaford have been handed a reprieve and will remain in Division One for the 2026/27 campaign.

Of the bottom three teams, only Rainsworth Miners Welfare have dropped to district league level following an FA-reshuffle across the non-League system.

They will face five new opponents, following the promotion of Cotgrave and Selston, the relegation of Harrowby United and the transfers of Louth Town and Maltby Main from the Northern Counties East League.

Holbeach United will remain in the Eastern Counties League, where they will be joined by promoted sides

Netherton United, Newmarket Town, Norwich United and relegated Hadleigh United.

☐ Holbeach United are forming a women’s team to play in the Cambridgeshire League next season.

It will be formed from the nucleus of the highly-successful Moulton Harrox u18s team, who have won multiple league titles and cup competitions, but are limited in their choice for an adult team to join when they become too old for youth football.

The team will train at the Community Sports Academy in Pennyhill Road and is open to ages 16-plus. Matches will be played on Sundays. To get involved, contact Martyn Cundy, 07769 223462.
