Red Hat group from Holbeach enjoy exhausting day in Spalding

Eighteen Red Hat Fen Fatales of Holbeach enjoyed messing about on the river when they took the Water Taxi to Springfields.

Pat Wells said: “The river trip was brilliant and our captains were Dave and Mike. Both were very informative and we learned quite a bit about the Welland and Coronation Channel.

“On arrival at Springfields we went for coffee then shopped until lunch at The Kitchen which was delicious and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

“After lunch we shopped some more. There were plenty of happy faces and lots of questions from curious visitors. We left exhausted with the sun still beating down after a brilliant and tiring day.”
