Rampant Moulton Harrox Reserves hit a super six to keep flawless run alive

Moulton Harrox Reserves’ fine form in ChromaSport PDFL Division One continued with a crushing 6-2 victory at Riverside on Saturday.

Goals from Declan Earth (2), Louis Steadman (2), John Ball and James Thorold made it seven wins from seven games for Kev Nottingham’s side – who stay top.

One point behind them are unbeaten Sutton Bridge United, who thrashed Oakham Reserves 5-2 at Memorial Park. A Matt Eaton treble and strikes from Jake Lally and Sam Lilley inspired the victory.

However, it’s now seven losses from as many matches for Spalding United Reserves.

They were crushed 8-0 at home by Stamford Belvedere and stay bottom.

Up in the Premier Division, Moulton Harrox stay top despite a 4-1 home loss against Peterborough Sports Reserves. Marcus Parry had put them 1-0 up.

That’s a first loss of the season for Nigel Steadman’s side, but they remain top of the table on goal difference.

Crowland Town were also beaten 6-1 at home by Netherton United and Holbeach United Reserves went down 2-0 at Sawtry as striker Tom Gosling was sent off.

In Division Two, Pinchbeck United Reserves picked up a 3-2 victory at ICA Sports Reserves. Declan Sands (2) and Wes Wilson got the goals to clinch a maiden league win of the season.

Meanwhile, a Jamie Darlow treble sentenced Crowland Reserves to a 3-0 defeat at Ramsey Town.

It was a day of derby clashes in Division Four, with the South Holland sides all facing each other.

Holbeach Bank raced to a 4-0 success at Tydd St Mary Reserves thanks to a Jon Turner double and further strikes from Lewis Machin and Gavin Phillips.
Bank are now third, two points behind leaders Premiar. Tydd are 12th.

It was also 4-0 in the other derby, with Long Sutton Athletic Reserves seeing off hosts Whaplode Drove. Sutton climb to sixth as a result, with Whaplode falling to ninth.
Down in Division Five, Holbeach United A picked up a 1-1 draw at Feeder Reserves and stay eighth.
