Pyramid C showed their class at the top of the Spalding & District League with a 6-0 romp at second-placed Holbeach D.
Spencer Dawkins (o56), Richard Skellett (o21), Dave Pearson (o14) twice and Jason Green (o56) proved unbeatable, with Green notching breaks of 40 and 28. Paul Daw (o28) did pot a 35 break for the hosts.
Pyramid F took advantage of Holbeach’s slip to take over second spot with a 4-2 win against Pyramid D, hitting back from 2-0 down. Peter Sharpe-Grose (r7) and Marcus Hamilton (o28) appeared to have put the visitors in control but Oliver Player (o28) and Carl Gibson (o21) pulled it back to 2-2, leaving Ian Clare (scr) to win a black-ball game against Reegan Cooke-Holmes to settle things.
At the opposite end of the standings, Services D opened a gap with a 4-2 victory over Consti H after Seb Grimston (o28) and Doug Garfoot (o28) had put the visitors two up, Grimston securing a 25 break. However, Alan Day (r21), Ian Smith (r7) and Russ Morse (o7) turned it round.
That leaves Consti E six points adrift after a 4-2 loss at home to Services C. Nigel Cherry (o7) won the decisive fifth frame for the visitors after Geoff Hemsil (r21) and Kev Fitter (o14) had given his team a 2-0 lead. Jack Chivers (o28) hit a 26 break and Simon Law (scr) had pulled it back to 2-2.
Nathan Wilson (o14) made a 22 clearance in Consti G’s 4-2 win at Donington C. Joe Garland (o9) and Darren Woodberry (o42) also chalked up wins, with Ben Wrigglesworth (o28) and Neil Favell (o21) getting the home points.
Boundary A were 4-2 victors at Gosberton A and Services A beat Holbeach C by the same score thanks to wins from Vince Fitter (o42), Martin Spencer (o28) and Jake Haslam (o14). Callum Scott (r7) and Mark Gregory (o28) got the away points.
James Sharpe (o49) was on form in Pyramid D’s re-arranged match at Holbeach C. He had a break of 43 and a 27 clearance in his black-ball win.
Cooke-Holmes (021) hit a break of 36, with Josh Agger (o28) also chalking up a win in the 4-2 success. Richard Parkes (o7) and Gregory were the home victors.
Holbeach B leap-frogged Holbeach A into second place in Division Two with a 4-2 away success. Steve Dent (scr) opened with a home win but Barry Haynes (o14), Charlie Mullane (r28) and Ady Liquorish (r14) secured the points before Stuart Atkin (o42) completed the home scoring.
The Holbeach inter-club squabble allowed Pyramid A to open a one-point lead at the top after a 4-2 success against Gosberton D, courtesy of wins from Jim Benner (r7), Norman Vaughan (o21) and Dean Cole (o7). Lynn Simmons (r14) and James Parrott (r7) were the away winners.
Pyramid E climbed off the bottom of the table with a convincing 5-1 victory over Donington A. That leaves Whittlesey C holding up the rest after going down 5-1 at home to Pyramid B, with Paul Cook (o21) their sole winner. Roy Jackson (r14), Darren Hibbins (o7), Dennis Pearson (scr) and Richard Clark (o14) got the visitors’ points.
Consti F hit back from two down to beat Services B 4-2. Jason Rose (o28) and Richard Neal (r21) gave Services the lead but Martyn Stanley (r14), Bryan Turnell (r14) and Justyn Stanley (scr) turned the score around.
Rob Coaten (r14), Parkes and James Crampton (o14) made sure of the points for Holbeach E at Whittlesey A. Graeme Sawyer (o14) pulled one back but Chris Leary (o21) completed the 5-1 away win, hitting a 24 break on the way.
The top-of-the-table clash in Division Three went in favour of the away team with Holbeach G’s 4-2 win at Consti B seeing them swap places. Dave Willy (o21) won the opening black-ball game but John Christian (r7) made it 1-1. John Dawson (o28) scored breaks of 40 and 30 to restore the away lead and Ian Woodberry (r77) settled things before John Keeton (o7) pulled one back for Consti
Boundary B stayed in touch at the top, two points off the title pace thanks to a 4-2 win against Consti J.
Consti C chalked up their third win of the campaign to narrow the gap at the bottom of the table by seeing off Consti D 4-2. Donington B were also winners, to stay ahead of Consti C, thanks to a 4-2 win at Consti I.
Pete Burrell (o7) struck a 20 break in an opening frame win for the visitors, with Phil Burrell (r7) and Mick Clarke (r14) completing the winning score. John Bellerby (r14) and Richard Geddes (r28), on a respot, were the home points scorers.
Dan Sawdy (scr), Pat Taylor (r14), Michelle George (r28) and Alan Stanley (r7) got the wins for Donington D as they shot up the table courtesy of a 5-1 success against Whittlesey B. Michael Foster (o14) was the away scorer. Consti A were 4-2 winners at Gosberton C.
