Pyramid B hit the top after whitewashing billiards title rivals Holbeach C

Pyramid B stormed to the top of Spalding and District Billiards League by thrashing nearest rivals Holbeach C 7-0 on Monday night.

Darrell Read (R50) made breaks of 34 and 22 for the Bourne side, who are now level on points with their opponents.

Donington are one point behind the top two after seeing off Holbeach A 5-2. Ben Wrigglesworth (R70) made a 23 break for them, with Hugh Pinner (O120) scoring 31 for the beaten visitors.

One of the best breaks of the week came from Rob Childs (O230), who made a 49 as Crowland B saw off Long Sutton 5-2 in the game of the week.

Mick Cooper (O150) and Joe Garland (R70) both hit breaks of 34 for Sutton.

However, nobody managed a better break than Mick Johnson (R30).

He racked up scores of 55, 48, 40 and 35 as his Consti B side defeated Consti D 5-2.
