Pump failure causes water problems across South Holland

Thousands of homes across South Holland are thought to be without running this water this morning (Tuesday, April 14) after a pump failure.

Anglian Water says it hopes to restore all supplies by midday today.

It’s website states that everywhere in South Holland east of Spalding town centre is affected.

A statement on the Anglian Water website, says: “We’re really sorry but some customers in Spalding and the surrounding area may have very low water pressure or no water at all.

“We’ve had a pump failure in your area that we’re working hard to get fixed, so that we can get your supply back to normal as soon as possible.

“Our engineers are classed as key workers and are continuing to do their jobs to find and fix problems like this and get things back to normal.

“Please don’t worry, they’re following the latest government guidance and social distancing to keep you and themselves safe.

“They will only contact you face to face in an emergency.”
