Power cut hit hundreds of homes in South Holland

Nearly 1,200 homes in South Holland were left without electricity for a short period after a power cut.

Western Power Distribution say its a ‘High Voltage’ incident reported at 11.23am.

“These incidents tend to be larger, affecting the wider area,” a spokesman said with 1,190 homes experiencing problems.

After initially saying they would aim to have power back on by 1pm, all properties had their power restored by 11.40am.

“We’re sorry to customers affected by the power cut,” a spokesman said.
