The Pool Players showed that they are equally as handy when it comes to snooker when they won the Cliff Hall Memorial Shield.
The team consisting of Chris Back, Tom Horsepool, Shane Balding, Carl Rowe and Neil Davey, emerged victorious in the annual competition, which is organised by Jim and Jean Thompson and held at the Donington Snooker Club.
They beat The Half Cut Cue Men, made up of Josh Fell, Grant Marshall, Pete Grooby, Paul Raymond and Stuart Whitaker.
The competition is played off scratch and takes place during the Spalding and District Snooker League’s summer recess.
Teams from across the district take part in the contest, including many players from the Spalding league.
The Pool Players walked away 4-1 winners, with Marshall taking the only frame for the losers, beating Rowe 66-27.
Back beat Fell 62-32, Horsepool beat Grooby 59-24, Davey beat Raymond 71-26 and Balding beat Whitaker 55-47.
