Police working in our community

South Holland police recovered a haul of illicit cigarettes when they were on patrol is Spalding town centre.

They also seized a vehicle and reported the driver for traffic offences.
Trading standards are conducting further enquiries into the cigarettes.
Police officers are also urging residents to be extra vigilant after seven attempted or successful burglaries were reported between March 1 and March 5.
“Several reports of suspicious activity have been called in too,” said a police statement.
While most of the crimes were committed around the Sleaford, Stamford, North Hykeham and Waddington areas, South Holland are still urging caution.
Pupils at Spalding Primary School were treated to a special lesson ahead of helping PCSO Holland with a speed meter and checking parking for parking offences at their school this week.
The police are holding a surgery at Spalding library on Friday, March 8, between 10am and 11am which members of the public are welcomed to attend.
There will also be a surgery, weather permitting, at Carter’s Park in Holbeach on Saturday, March 23 from 2pm to 4pm.
