Nick and Kim Markillie’s reward for a 49-point winning score in the Gedney Hill Golf Club Ping Mixed Fourball Betterball competition in July was a place in the finals, which were played last week at Thonock Park, Gainsborough.
They were among 52 pairs from all over the country and the husband and wife team came second with 45 points to win a golf bag, a £200 voucher to be spent on Ping clothing and an engraved glass bowl.
