The top two in Spalding and District Sunday League will clash in the final of the Knockout Cup after coming through semi-finals at the weekend.
Prolific Pinchbeck United Sunday cruised into the final with a 10-0 demolition of hosts Punchbowl Panthers.
The league’s leading scorer Josh Ford fired five to take his tally for the season to 45 for Tom Roberts’ side, with Ryan Wheeler (2), Bobby Patterson, Gary Piper and Luke Wilson on target.
Sutton Bridge had to work a little harder for their place in the Sunday showpiece, as they edged out Swineshead Institute Sunday 3-2. A double from the free-scoring Matt Eaton and a Tim Lowe effort were enough to send the table-toppers through.
In the league, in-form Jubilee climbed up to third with a hard-fought 3-2 win at Murrow Bell. Dan Brackenbury, Luke Chilvers and Steve Coles notched for Paul Rudkin’s side, who have now won four on the bounce.
Christopher Ward (2) got the goals for hosts Murrow.
Brennans Sports, meanwhile, were the big winners of the day.
They dispatched Punchbowl Tigers 6-1 thanks to strikes from Daniel Bergin (2), Scott Burrell (2), Tom Cherry and Matt Wilson. Dan Walker hit back for the Tigers.
Elsewhere, Mulberry won their basement battle at Spalding Seas End Wanderers 3-2 after goals from Adrian Mitchell (2) and Ryan Howard.
