PDFL round-up: Two wins from two for impressive Crowland, five-star Tigers

Crowland Town’s fine start to life back in the ChromaSport PDFL Premier Division continued on Saturday as they beat Leverington Sports 2-0.

Goals from Chris Winstanley and sub Jake Woodward were enough at Snowden Field, as Crowland made it two wins from as many games.

It was also a good day for Holbeach United Reserves, who raced to a 5-2 success at Eye United in the top tier.

Fenn Storey (2), Kyle Compton, Joe Millinson and Tom Coote netted for the Tigers, who bagged their first win of the season.

Also grabbing a maiden success of the campaign were Long Sutton Athletic.
Jake Clitheroe and sub Brendan Burton (2) got the goals as the Magpies defeated Cardea 3-0 at London Road.

Down in Division One, Moulton Harrox Reserves top the embryonic table after a crushing 8-2 success at Kings Cliffe.

Robbie Cundy (2), Andy Law (2), Marcus Parry (2), Josh McGuire and Jamie Cartlidge all found the target as Harrox made it back-to-back victories.

Also boasting a 100 per cent record are Pinchbeck United, who edged out eight-man Peterborough Northern Star Reserves 1-0.

Evander Jose bagged the only goal for the Knights, while Star had Kyle Orange, Sam Moakes and Harry Woodward all sent off.

On the other end of the scale are Crowland Town Reserves, who suffered their second loss from as many games.

They went down 4-0 at Warboys Town, with Jake Thornton getting a hat-trick.

Tydd are also pointless after two following their 3-1 home defeat at the hands of FC Peterborough.

In Division Two, Holbeach United Sports suffered a 5-0 home reverse at the hands of early pace-setters Ramsey Town.

Also beaten were Long Sutton Athletic Reserves, who slipped up 1-0 at Orton Rangers.

That theme continued in Division Three, with Tydd Reserves bottom after a 5-0 reverse at Stilton United Reserves.

It was another good day for Sutton Bridge United as they beat Ramsey Town Reserves 3-1 in Division Five. Patrick Jones, Kurt Scott and Joseph Sutton netted at Memorial Park as Bridge moved into third place.
