Moulton Harrox moved ten points clear at the top of the ChromaSport PDFL Premier Division with a 4-2 victory over second-placed Thorney.

It’s now 13 wins from 14 league games so far this season for Kev Nottingham’s side, who were recently named the PDFL’s Premier Division Division team of the month for September.

Sutton Bridge United made it three wins on the spin by knocking off Oakham United 3-1 at Memorial Park, with David Abbott, Matt Eaton and Joseph Sutton getting their goals.

Also on winning form were Long Sutton Athletic, who saw off Langtoft United 4-1 at London Road.

With new signing Matt Cawthorn given a start, it was Connor Bell (2), Callum Madigan and Matthew Rose who grabbed the goals.

Elsewhere in the top tier, Tydd slipped to a 4-3 defeat at Leverington Sports but stay in the top ten.

Jake Clitheroe, Aaron McKenna and Peter Ryan grabbed the goals for them.

Down in Division One, Moulton Harrox Reserves rediscovered their winning touch with a 4-1 victory at Oakham United Reserves.

Laurence Price, Ryan Wheeler, John Ball and Keith England all grabbed goals in that one.

Spalding Town were also on winning form as strikes from Ben Allen, Ricky Dickinson and Alex Lyon saw off Oundle Town 3-2.

In Division Two, both Whaplode Drove and Spalding Athletic suffered heavy defeats.

Drove were demolished 6-0 at home by Premiair, while basement side Athletic went down 4-1 at Ketton Reserves.
