PDFL round-up: Red-hot Harrox put title rivals on notice with huge win

Five-star Moulton Harrox produced one of their best performances of the season so far as they thrashed ChromaSport PDFL Premier Division title rivals Uppingham Town 5-1 on Saturday.

A double from Ian Bradbury, plus strikes from Declan Earth, Matt Watkin and an own goal steered Harrox to an emphatic victory at Tods Piece.

The triumph moves Kev Nottingham’s side level on points with leaders Peterborough North End Sports, with a game in hand.

Elsewhere in the top tier, Long Sutton Athletic picked up a 1-0 win over Ketton at London Road.

Chris Ward’s cracker settled the contest as the Magpies moved to within five points of fifth place.

In the League Cup, Premier Division side Tydd picked up a welcome 3-0 victory over Huntingdon Rovers.

Ryan Mills (2) and Ryan Long both notched in the Jubilee Park showdown.

Down in Division One, Moulton Harrox Reserves beat Stamford Belvedere 3-0 at Broad Lane.

Ryan Wheeler (2) and Martin Sandall netted for Harrox in that one.

Basement side Spalding Town slipped up 3-2 at home against PNS Reserves as ex-Spalding United striker Liam Harrold bagged twice.

In Division Two, Long Sutton Reserves were on the receiving end of a 6-0 beating at second-placed NECI.

Elsewhere, Tydd Reserves beat Hampton 1-0 in Division Three.

Leaders of the same division, Holbeach Sports crushed Fosdyke 8-1 in the Spalding Inter Services as young talent James Clark netted four times.

Jordan Keeble (2), Steve Barnes and Billy Barnes also netted.
